What insurances do we work with?
We Work With Most Major Insurance Plans!
Our decision to remain out-of-network allows our physicians to focus on what they believe is best for each patient rather than being limited by insurance company guidelines and reimbursement policies. This independence enables us to offer innovative treatment approaches and prioritize motion-preserving regenerative procedures whenever appropriate, rather than defaulting to traditional spinal fusion surgery.
While our professional services are provided on an out-of-network basis, many of the services associated with your procedure are often covered by insurance. In many cases, the surgical facility, nursing services, anesthesia providers, imaging, laboratory services, and other ancillary care providers may participate with your insurance network. Coverage varies by plan, and our team can help you understand what benefits may apply to your specific situation.
Nextgen Spine Center insurance and billing information
Your procedure generates three separate bills. Here’s how each one works.
At Nextgen Spine Center, we specialize in regenerative and advanced spinal care that most facilities simply don’t offer. Understanding your coverage upfront means no surprises.
Our surgeon is out-of-network with all insurers — including Medicare. This is a deliberate choice. Insurance in-network contracts pressure surgeons toward high-reimbursement procedures like spinal fusion. By remaining independent, your surgeon can recommend what’s truly right for you, not what reimburses best.
If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, those will apply. We work directly with your insurer to maximize your coverage.
Our anesthesia group is in-network with most major commercial insurers and accepts Medicare assignment. For most patients, this portion of your bill is covered at your standard in-network benefit level — including Medicare.
Our accredited ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is in-network with most major commercial insurers and participates with Medicare. The facility fee — often the most significant portion of surgery costs — is typically covered at your in-network benefit level.
Why we choose to stay out-of-network for physician fees
Regenerative spine procedures — the treatments that actually heal tissue rather than just manage pain — are rarely covered by insurance and almost never covered by Medicare. That’s not a gap in your plan; it’s a gap in what traditional medicine reimburses. In-network Medicare surgeons face enormous financial pressure to perform spinal fusions, because the reimbursement difference is dramatic. Our surgeon opts out of that system entirely so recommendations are based on what’s best for your spine, full stop. The procedures we offer exist precisely because we have that freedom.
